Gov. Jared Polis and top state health officials are encouraging all 12- to 15-year-olds to get vaccinated. Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine was recently approved for emergency use for that age group.
More than 2 million Coloradans fully vaccinated
COLORADO (KRDO) Governor Jared Polis announced more than two million Coloradans are now fully vaccinated.
Additionally, 674,000 people have already received one dose and are now waiting until it s time to take their second dose.
However, Gov. Polis says there is room for improvement.
Vaccines are available to more than 4.7 million Coloradans over the age of 16.
Gov. Polis says walk-up appointments are available at the Colorado State Fair Grounds in Pueblo and the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.
This Saturday, the vaccine center in Pueblo is offering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
