March Spotlight teacher is Reed Ellett. Mr. Ellett is a Special Education teacher at
Brownwood High School (BHS). He holds an Associates Degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Alabama, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Devry University, and a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology Management from Trident University International. He is a certified teacher holding a professional license for teaching General Education (4th-8th) and Special Education (EC-12). This is Mr. Ellett’s third year with Brownwood ISD. Mr. Ellett is a dedicated teacher and fantastic individual that influences the culture at BHS. He works diligently to ensure Life Academic Students are a part of the BHS community.

Congratulations to our March 2021 Spotlight teacher, Reed Ellett! Mr. Ellett is a Special Education teacher at Brownwood High School (BHS). Mr. Ellett is a dedicated teacher and fantastic individual that influences the culture at BHS. He works diligently to ensure Life Academic Students are a part of the BHS community. His love for education is evident as he works to improve the educational development prospects of each student while building and maintaining strong relationships.
Ronnie Mills Jr., 48, of Early went to Heaven on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 following an epic 4-year battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. To his very last breath he was the fighter everyone knew him as for all his life. His last days he spent reminding all his loved ones that “Jesus Christ is Lord.” Even when he couldn’t speak, he would point his finger to heaven as a symbol of his faith.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Early First Baptist Church.
Ronnie was born May 20, 1972 in Brownwood, Texas to Ronald and Brenda Mills. He attended Brownwood High School and went on to get an Associates in networking from TSTC and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tarleton University. He achieved his MBA in 2012, and went on to become an International Sales Manager at Apple, Inc. where he was passionate about inspiring and developing people’s unique talents to be the best they could be. Chamber of Commerce Hosts 105th Annual Banquet
SAN ANGELO, TX On Thursday evening, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce hosted the 105th Annual Banquet at the First Financial Pavillion. The event featured some of San Angelo s most well-known faces and the presentation of the 2020 Citizen of the Year.
The main portion of the event kicked off with a video slideshow showcasing all the ups and down this community endured in the middle of a pandemic while coming together to support one another.
Each year a committee of the previous Citizen of the Year recipients meet to deliberate on and choose the next recipient. The Citizen of the Year is identified as an individual who has contributed significantly to the quality of life in the community and who has been involved in quality and effective volunteer work.
