ANOTHER TENDER

The Nordiques also officially announced that Maine Nordiques Academy 18U defenseman Kadsen Johnson has signed a tender with the NAHL team. He had 12 goals and 38 assists in 55 games with the 18U team. He also appeared in seven games with the NAHL Nordiques, recording two assists.

GREENWICH, CT With vaccination rates rising and COVID cases dropping, the Town of Greenwich will be winding down mass vaccination sites in the coming weeks.
Dana Marnane, director of public relations for Greenwich Hospital, said on Wednesday during the Town s weekly coronavirus briefing that the Brunswick School vaccine clinic on King Street is no longer accepting appointments for a first dose. Only those with scheduled appointments for a second dose will be accepted before the site closes on June 13.
Marnane said other large sites around the state run by Yale New Haven Health will be closing soon as well. Greenwich Hospital will transition vaccinations to primary care providers.

Connecticut has been leading the nation in vaccinating its citizens against COVID-19, and was the first state to reach the key milestone of half its adult population vaccinated. Contributing to the success of the state’s effort is a partnership between Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health (YNHH), which together administered the highest number of vaccines of any vaccination site in the state under a single Provider Identification Number (PIN). Yale’s success prompted a visit from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), whose staff wanted to see just how the Yale team was able to so efficiently vaccinate so many people, a figure that reached 411,000 vaccinations as of May 19.
