ANOTHER TENDER
Before the draft, the Nordiques announced the tender signing of forward Brendan Gibbons. The 19-year-old from South Kingston, Rhode Island, played in the NCDC with the Jr. Bruins and P.A.L. Islanders. In 33 regular season games, he tallied six goals and 13 assists.
The Nordiques also officially announced that Maine Nordiques Academy 18U defenseman Kadsen Johnson has signed a tender with the NAHL team. He had 12 goals and 38 assists in 55 games with the 18U team. He also appeared in seven games with the NAHL Nordiques, recording two assists.

The Thunder goalie stopped all 31 shots he faced as the Twin City Thunder defeated the Philadelphia Hockey Club in a USPHL National Collegiate Development Conference game at the Advent Ice Center in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
“He must of got up early, because he was dialed in,” Thunder assistant coach Cam Robichaud said. “He has been good; in his last five (starts), he has four wins. He has been definitely winning games for us. We have a great tandem; we are fortunate it could be either (Bobak or Connor Leslie) going in net for any given game .”

The Twin City Thunder gave the top team in the USPHL National Collegiate Development Conference all it could handle Friday, but it wasn’t quite enough to earn a victory.
The Thunder scored two third-period goals to force overtime, but the Jersey Hitmen scored twice in the shootout to come away with a 4-3 junior hockey win at the Advent Health Ice Center in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
“The boys really showed up and competed hard, obviously going up against the Hitmen, the first-place team, a team that only suffered (three) regulation losses all year,” Thunder assistant coach Cam Robichaud said. “The boys got up for the game and they were ready to come and compete to put forth a full 60-minute effort. Aand that’s what we saw, a good team effort, there wasn’t individual plays taking place.”
