“More than 2,500 years ago, Siddhartha Gautama sat under the Bodhi tree in India. He vowed to stay under the tree until he reached enlightenment. Bodhi Day commemorates the moment he saw the morning star at dawn and became Buddha, the ‘Awakened One.’
“For Buddhists in Alberta and around the world, this is a time to reflect on the core values of Buddhism. Embracing kindness, humility and compassion for all people are the foundation of Buddhist beliefs, and a lesson we can all reflect on today.

RTÉ says it has no plans to scrap The Angelus as it aims to strike a balance on diversity of views

RTÉ HAS SAID it has no plans to cease broadcasting the Angelus, and said it aims to strike a balance in considering the “diversity of views” on the matter while fulfilling its obligations to “reflect the rich and diverse religious culture in Ireland”.
It also said that polling it has recently commissioned on the topic has shown a majority of people are in favour of the Angelus continuing to be broadcast.

The Census and Statistics Department has released estimated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current price and at constant (2010) price in Production approach and other macroeconomic indicators for the third quarter (01 July to 30 September) of 2020.
The Department stated that in the third quarter, a 1.5% of positive growth rate was recorded in the economy for the first time for the year 2020 as the public returned to the new-normality and carry out business activities.
