House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) issued a statement on February 3 stating that although he condemns Representative Marjorie Taylor Greeneâs (R-Ga.) past social media posts, he doesnât support removing her from her committee assignments.

Democrats want newly-elected Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene kicked off her committee assignments. She is the object of Democrat hate and scorn, and she’s not popular with the Republican leadership. According to some reports, the targeting of the elected official from Georgia’s 14th District has a goal, which is to make her the face of the Republican Party.
