French shares close 0.21 pct lower Xinhua 04 Jun 2021, 02:49 GMT+10 PARIS, June 3 (Xinhua) French shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.21 percent, or 13.60 points, to close at 6,507.92 points. Of the 40 selected large companies, 24 went down in the day. French payment and transactional services company Worldline lost 1.75 percent. Multinational steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal SA shed 1.74 percent. Capgemini, the French multinational information technology consulting corporation, dropped 1.72 percent. Saint-Gobain, the French multinational corporation that produces construction materials, advanced 4.19 percent. French multinational retailer Carrefour rose 2.31 percent. French tire manufacturer Michelin added 1.31 percent.
