PEORIA
– A woman charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run wreck in February had a blood alcohol content at nearly three times the legal limit, according to court records.
Blood and urine samples taken from Diana Schick, 40, the night of the crash showed the presence of alcohol, cocaine and marijuana in her system, according to an affidavit for a search warrant filed by Peoria police.
Schick s blood alcohol content was .235, according to an affidavit obtained by the Journal Star. The legal limit to drive in Illinois is .08.
The document also said that a police officer on Feb. 11 started a field sobriety test which showed signs of impairment, but the test was stopped as Schick was being treated for injuries.
