The former BBC journalist Fiona Anderson will be giving an online talk entitled “Burma: what went wrong?” on Tuesday July 27th at 8pm.
Fiona Anderson was a BBC News producer based in Hong Kong from 1995-1997. She travelled to Burma with the BBC correspondent Fergal Keane to interview Aung Sang Suu Kyi before and after her release from house arrest in 1995. Fiona returned there in 2014 to work on a BBC project with the state broadcaster MRTV and has continued to follow events in Burma, including the Rohingya genocide and the current military coup.
