CP Photo: Kaycee Orwig Edward May Most people have a typical running route, or maybe a handful that they cycle through for a change of pace. But after running marathons and growing tired of his usual routes, Edward May decided to run all the streets of Pittsburgh, thousands of them. May’s Run All The Streets project, or RATS for short, began in December 2018 shortly before Christmas. Since then, he’s run almost all of Pittsburgh’s approximately 4,800 streets, with only about 550 remaining, following in the footsteps of Lazarus Lake, the co-creator of the notoriously grueling Barkley Marathons, where runners complete 100 miles in a limited 60-hour period.

The Pittsburgh Marathon may have been canceled Sunday but not runner Cathy O’Brien’s will to compete.
The mother of four from Marshall Township joined an impromptu race at North Park in lieu of the 13-mile half-marathon she trained for.
She was among 10 members of the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Team DetermiNation who hit the pavement near the North Park tennis court at 8 a.m.
Team DetermiNation is the ACS’s event endurance program, spanning a variety of sports that include cycling, running, hiking and yoga, among others. Members have become extended family through their training and teamwork, and through their journeys of caregiving.
This year, she turns 40, which is also the number of causes she plans to help with money she raised before the big race. She calls the upcoming race her "Marathon of Blessings."
Till the World Ends
by Dani Janae, staff writer One of the last things I did before COVID hit was perform some of my poems for Locals Only at Thunderbird. The show was organized by local drag and video artist Gia Fagnelli. Locals Only is a show that is curated to feature primarily Pittsburgh artists and creatives. Normally, I would perform a couple times a month, then take a couple months off to regroup, and I had a few more appearances lined up that got canceled or moved online. That night, I got the pleasure of meeting and seeing the artist Moody Ting perform on sax. When she opened playing Britney Spears, I knew I was in for a great night.
