I was just talking to my wife about the stimulus money we have been receiving. Between the Trump Money and the Biden Bucks it has been nice to have unexpected money to spend on some of our recent surprise expenses. We had to replace the transmission in our car last week and that was a big chunk of change. Anything that Joe drives is the kiss of death and a horrible advertising gimmick. I guarantee that 74 million Trump supporters would rather chew crushed glass than buy any product that a geriatric Democrat thinks “is really neato.” The new Ford truck rings in at $70, 000 (without the bells and whistles) and will be called Lightning which perfectly describes how quickly money will leave your bank account. The U.S. Chamber of Congress, the world’s largest pro-business trade association, is calling on the president to end the $300-a-week supplemental unemployment aid, saying that the anemic jobs numbers released on Friday are due to the disincentive to work given to the unemployed in the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief bill signed in March.
“The disappointing jobs report makes it clear that paying people not to work is dampening what should be a stronger jobs market,” said Neil Bradley, the Chamber’s executive vice president and chief policy officer. “We need a comprehensive approach to dealing with our workforce issues and the very real threat unfilled positions poses to our economic recovery from the pandemic.”
