Loud music and noise nuisance tackled by police in Milford Haven

Pembrokeshire County Council, supported by Milford Haven Neighbourhood Policing team, executed a warrant to seize noise-making equipment from a property in Picton Road on Wednesday. The resident of the property had failed to heed warnings from environmental health department officers to reduce the excessive volume at which music was being played. The council investigated and was satisfied that the noise was excessive. This resulted in the serving of a noise abatement notice. Further incidents of noise nuisance were reported by local residents following the serving of the notice. Investigations confirmed that the noise levels continued to give rise to statutory nuisance as Both the council and Dyfed-Powys Police are urging people to be respectful to tehir neighbours at this extremely difficult time when more of us are having to remain at home.

Bloomingdale approves restrictions on short-term rentals

Updated 12/30/2020 6:27 PM Anyone booking a short-term rental property in Bloomingdale will be required to rent it for at least 30 days, according to new restrictions approved by the village board. Trustees also voted on Dec. 14 to require short-term rental properties to be registered with the village. The registration fee is $500 per year.   The changes come after a shooting this summer at a rental house in neighboring Roselle. Approving a residential rental ordinance tightens things up a bit and makes us safer, Bloomingdale Mayor Franco Coladipietro said. Village Administrator Peter Scalera said partygoers would be deterred from renting in Bloomingdale as a result of the long-term commitment involved.
