Organisers ignore Punjab CM’s plea to ‘support fight against pandemic’
Farmers have started gathering in large numbers with the BKU (Ugrahan-Ekta) group organising protests in Patiala The Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, who has been supportive of the farmers agitation, has issued a warning in the backdrop of the ongoing Covid wave of infections.
In case of sessions exclusively organised with online slots, towards the end of the day, some doses may still be left unutilised in case the online appointee beneficiaries did not turn up on the day of vaccination due to any reason, a statement issued by the Union Health Ministry said.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday urged the BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) not to hold their planned sit-in over his government’s “failure” to tackle coronavirus, saying their three-day protest may turn into a super-spreader.

Rejecting the allegation that his government failed to tackle the pandemic, the CM said they fought hard to prevent Punjab going the way of some other states such as Delhi, Maharashtra and even Uttar Pradesh, where bodies floating in the Ganga exposed the mismanagement by the BJP government.
