New South Wales Police have arrested a man as part of their investigation into the execution of underworld figure Mejid Hamzy, brother of jailed Brothers 4 Life gang leader Bassam Hamzy.
A social media post by police on Wednesday morning showed a detective and masked police from the specialist squad Strike Force Raptor arresting a shirtless man sitting on the lawn outside a brown brick home.
Police said they had arrested a 38-year-old man who was expected to be charged with murder.

Two men arrested over murder of Mejid Hamzy
Mejid Hamzy, 44, was fatally shot last year in south-west Sydney.
Police have arrested two men over the murder of Mejid Hamzy, who was gunned down outside his Sydney home last October.
NSW Police say a 38-year-old man is expected to be charged with murder, while a 44-year-old man is expected to be charged in relation to the concealment of a vehicle allegedly used in the incident.
Mr Hamzy was the older brother of crime gang Brothers 4 Life founder and convicted killer Bassam Hamzy, who is currently jailed in Goulburn s supermax prison.
