Two brothers have been charged over the execution-style murder of underworld figure Mejid Hamzy outside his home in Sydney's south-west.
Heavily armed police conducted raids across Sydney and Wollongong at Peakhurst, Bringelly, Helensburgh and Liverpool.
Ezzedine Omar, 38, was arrested at his Liverpool home, where detectives seized car parts and a black Audi this afternoon.
He is facing 17 charges, including murder, eight counts of deal with proceeds of crime, as well as drug and driving offences.
