Photo baobinhthuan.com.vn BÌNH THUẬN Construction of the civilian-military Phan Thiết airport is expected to resume at the end of this month and be completed by next year, Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Trần Đơn said at a recent meeting between his ministry and the Bình Thuận Province People’s Committee. The 545.5ha airport is expected to cost over VNĐ11.8 trillion (US$513.8 million). The civilian component of the airport will be built by Rạng Đông JSC under the BOT (build-operate-transfer) model at a cost of VNĐ3.83 trillion.

Photo courtesy of the company BẮC NINH Nearly 15,000 blood units were successfully donated through the “Blood for Vietnamese 2020” programme, bringing the total units of blood that Samsung Vietnam has donated since 2010 to 100,000. This programme is part of the annual voluntary blood donation series, co-ordinated by Samsung Vietnam with the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Steering Committee on Voluntary Blood Donation, Red Cross of Bắc Ninh Province and Thái Nguyên Province. VNA/VNS Photo Trần Hiếu HÀ NỘI A book on the 70 years of Việt Nam-Russia relations was launched in Moscow recently.  The book consists of five parts including 700 images and documents classified into diplomatic events and co-operation activities between the two countries in politics, economy, defence-security, culture, education, science, and people-to-people diplomacy.  The book was compiled by Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngô Đức Mạnh to promote relations between the two countries.  “In my new position, I have favourable conditions to turn my wish into reality. I have collected, systematised and compiled the book, said the ambassador at the book launching ceremony last weekend in Moscow.

VNA/VNS Photo An Đăng HẢI PHÒNG Hải Phòng City has removed the 14-day lockdown for the last two locations of Hamlet 4 of Lôi Động Village, Thủy Nguyên District and Block 112 of Dư Hàng Worker s Residential Area, Dư Hàng Ward, Lê Chân District from midnight on Tuesday. Previously, a 26-year-old female nurse, who worked at the city’s Transport Hospital was found positive for SARS-CoV-2 after the city conducted tests for medical staff on February 21. The nurse lives in Hamlet 4 of Lôi Động Village.
