JACKSON, Tenn. United Way of West Tennessee is partnering with several organizations to host a virtual film showing on March 30, according to a news release.
The film, “Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope,” will be shown from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. online through a partnership with United Way, Madison County CASA, the City of Jackson’s Anti-Poverty Task Force and others.
“Resilience” is a documentary focusing on adverse childhood experiences and a movement to treat and prevent toxic stress, which experts now believe can be a leading cause of heart disease, cancer, substance abuse and various other health concerns, according to a news release.
