Three Los Angeles residents were being held on $1 million bail after being arrested on multiple felony charges stemming from thefts of catalytic converters early Thursday in Carpinteria, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff s Department.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff s deputies arrested three people on suspicion of stealing catalytic converters.
On Thursday, at around 2:49 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1000-block of Palmetto Way in Carpinteria for a reported theft of a catalytic converter that had just occurred.
The reporting party said they heard what sounded like a saw, recognized that a theft was likely occurring, and called law enforcement to provide a vehicle description and their direction of travel.
Patrol deputies located and stopped a vehicle that matched the description minutes later.

SAN ANTONIO – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in a man’s slaying earlier this month on the far West Side.
The shooting happened on the afternoon of May 6 at a home in the 6600 block of Palmetto Way, not far from Culebra Road and Alamo Parkway.
Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and found the victim, Saifeddin Mohammed Saleh, 24, shot multiple times.

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office wants the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for the slaying of a man on the far West Side.
Deputies were called to a home in the 6600 block of Palmetto Way, not far from Culebra Road and Alamo Parkway on Thursday afternoon after receiving word of a shooting.
According to BCSO, deputies arrived to find a man shot multiple times. Despite an emergency crew’s best efforts, the man would later be pronounced deceased.
