Ashton Clark, Jake Thomas hired as new head coaches at Heritage Clark will coach boys basketball; Thomas will coach wrestling By Tim Martinez, Columbian Assistant Sports Editor Published: June 9, 2021, 2:42pm Share: Heritage High School went to a familiar face to lead its boys basketball team. Ashton Clark, a 2009 Heritage High graduate and currently a counselor at the school, has been hired as the head coach for the Timberwolves. Clark previously served as interim head coach in 2018. Nathan Younger served as the interim coach this past season after Brian Childs stepped down shortly before the season. Clark is a 2014 graduate of Eastern Washington, where he played football. He has been working on the coaching staffs of the football and basketball teams at Heritage for the past four years.
