Council considers parking changes
KINGSTON Council says it is considering revised parking restrictions for residents on Lochiel Avenue.
Residents on the Edithvale street have complained about receiving $165 fines for parking in front of their own homes. Kingston Council’s development and planning acting general manager, Paul Marsden, said “council has received a few calls from residents about having difficulty parking in the street. In response to these additional concerns, council will be conducting further consultation to look at any issues with parking on the south side of Lochiel Avenue. The proposal involves changes to the current timed restrictions to allow residents to overstay these restrictions with parking permits.”
Bechtel Snags Contract to Build Nacero’s Permian Natural Gas-to-Gasoline Plant
Houston-based Nacero Inc. has awarded engineering firm Bechtel Corp. a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for a natural gas-to-gasoline manufacturing facility in Penwell, TX.
The plant would be the first natural gas-to-gasoline plant in the United States, according to Nacero. The company’s 115,000 b/d plant near Odessa, TX, in the Permian Basin also would be the first gasoline manufacturing plant in the world to incorporate carbon capture and sequestration, as well as 100% renewable power.
“For America to achieve its domestic energy and climate change mitigation goals, we need big vision and laser-focused execution. Bechtel is center stage in helping us get there,” said Nacero CEO Jay McKenna.

Nacero has tapped Bechtel to conduct front-end engineering and design (FEED) work for its planned natural-gas-to-gasoline manufacturing facility destined for Penwell, Texas, near Odessa. The 115,000 B/D facility will be the first of its kind in the US and will be the first gasoline manufacturing plant in the world to incorporate carbon capture, carbon sequestration, and 100% renewable power, according to Nacero.
The use of renewable natural gas and mitigated flare gas will make it possible to reduce the life cycle footprint of Nacero s zero-sulfur gasoline to zero over time. Nacero s products will be sold to retailers in Texas and the Southwest, and through Nacero-branded outlets.
