Bosses behind Cut the Wrap in Ulverston considering opening second shop

BOSSES behind a zero-waste shop are considering opening a second store after seeing a boom in business this year. Cut the Wrap, based in Ulverston, bid farewell to its Upper Brook Street site in April to move to a larger site in New Market Street after a difficult 2020. The popular plastic-free grocery store was set up by Cat and Paul Moffatt in July 2018 after the pair watched a Blue Planet documentary which inspired them to reduce their carbon footprint. The store operates on a complete plastic-free basis, with customers choosing how much of a product they want to buy – and in what container.
