A disused building of a much-loved former mid Wales outdoor centre has been given a new lease of life during the coronavirus lockdown. Generations of children and young people from across Powys and beyond have fond memories of staying at Staylittle Outdoors Centre, near Llanidloes, which was closed by Powys County Council in 2018. It was sold to Llanidloes couple Phill Stasiw and Polly Clark who have recently completed a 12-month extensive renovation of the building and transformed it into The Lodge, a “unique” 36-bed accommodation for groups and outdoor holidays and breaks in the Cambrian Mountains.
The bedrooms have been furnished with Welsh fabrics.

Polly Clark and Phillip Stasiw of Mountain Bike Wales A PLANNING application has been lodged to place a mobile home on the site of the former outdoor pursuits centre in Staylittle. Last year Mountain Bike Wales acquired the Staylittle Outdoor Centre from Powys County Council, with the intention of using it as accommodation to run cycling tours and yoga workshops from what will be known as The Lodge, Staylittle . In a statement issued when the venture was announced, owners Polly Clark and Phillip Stasiw said: We’re now the proud owners of Staylittle Outdoor Centre, situated half way between Llanidloes and Machynlleth in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains.
