SPRINGFIELD, Ill. The governor of Illinois is in Springfield on Wednesday, May 12 giving an update to tourism, travel and exploration across Illinois.
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the Time For Me To Drive campaign which is aimed at promoting tourism in Illinois.
Vaccination teams will soon be dispatched to workplaces across Illinois.
The effort will begin this month with 10 sites in Chicago, Rockford and Schaumburg in the first wave

West Carroll FFA member wins public speaking contest
SAVANNA West Carroll FFA member Olivia Charles won the District I FFA Prepared Public Speaking Career Development Event held virtually April 28.
Charles had to write a manuscript for the speech, videotape the memorized 6-8 minute speech, send it to judges and answer 5 minutes of questions. Her speech was titled Food Insecurities.
Charles will compete at the state FFA Prepared Public Speaking CDE to be held May 15 at Lincolnland Community College in Springfield. It will be her fourth trip to the FFA State Finals.
