PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi on Wednesday said that digitalization had been introduced in all police units which had effectively bridged the gap between public and police.
He was talking to a delegation of digital influencers including YouTubers, Bloggers and other social medial channel professionals here at Central Police Office (CPO).
The IGP briefed the delegation about the steps taken for implementation of police reforms in the province.
He said that CCTV cameras are being installed in all police establishment to effectively monitor the performance of the police and restore the dignity and respect of the public particularly at thana level.

KOTA KINABALU: An emergency allocation of RM150mil has been approved to repair roads and bridges damaged by recent floods and landslides in the state, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The Chief Minister said the relevant departments have been ordered to expedite the repair works as soon as possible.
“I was told that road and infrastructure damages due to natural disasters statewide is estimated at RM150mil while property damage like agriculture crops and others is estimated at RM135mil. We are doing our best. I hope the people will understand and be patient as the relevant agencies are carrying out works to fix all the damaged roads, he told reporters after visiting one of the damaged road links at KM44.7 of Jalan Penampang-Tambunan on Tuesday (Jan 26).

A search is under way for an Mpumalanga man who was washed away in flood waters caused by Cyclone Eloise.
Ian Scher of Rescue SA confirmed that their teams were searching for the man, who was last seen trying to cross a river in the Pilgrim s Rest area.
