Alan Martinez has given his heart and soul to the Tiger Basketball program for 4 years. He was a leader during the pandemic lockdown by keeping the guys connected and active with basketball. He is truly an example of what being “invested” means.

ROCK SPRINGS A windy afternoon that saw blowing snow didn’t slow down the Rock Springs High School (RSHS) soccer teams in their first matchup with the Green River Wolves on Tuesday.
Both the girls and boys teams for RSHS won their games against the neighboring GRHS squads, combining for a total score of 16-1.
The Tigers and Wolves played first, with Rock Springs claiming a 2-0 victory. Rock Springs’ two goals both came in the first half and the defense stopped the Wolves’ offense from finding the net in the second half. The Tigers improve to 4-2 on the season, while the Wolves fall to 1-5.

RSHS Technical Director Rick Matlock said that
Little Shop of Horrors was the perfect choice for this year’s performance due to the smaller number of boys in the program and the fact that everyone loves a horror comedy.
Spending fifty years married to one person is an achievement deserving of recognition. Larry Wayne and Deborah Ann (Morgan) Shaw celebrate 50 years of marriage on April 12, 2021.
Larry and Debbi met while attending Rock Springs High School. After high school, Larry enlisted in the Navy. While on a visit home, December 25, 1968, they went on their first official date to the Rock Theatre to watch The Shaggy Dog and The Absent-Minded Professor.
When Larry was home on leave in 1971, the pair married. The wedding with colors of pink and blue was held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Rock Springs. Bub Shaw acted as the Best Man and Rhonda Shaw served as the Matron of Honor. The groomsmen were Dennis Shaw and Mike Shaw, while Nancy Koerner and Donna Chabre served as bridesmaids. Larry’s nephew Mike “Mikey” Shaw Jr. acted as the ringbearer, and Angela Petty was the flower girl. Following the wedding, the lovebirds honeymooned in Pinedale and Kemmerer.
