Five new COVID-related deaths also have been reported. Of the 235,505 who have received a dose of the Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Lake and Sumter counties since the state began its vaccination program in December, 154,730 were in Lake and 80,775 were in Sumter.   All told, 171,723 of those vaccinated, including 105,730 in Lake and 65,993 in Sumter, completed the two-shot series Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, or the single dose vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson through Monday – the latest information contained in Tuesday’s update. The majority – 99,375 in Lake County and 62,004 in Sumter – received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.

LEESBURG Nearly 234,00 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines in Lake and Sumter counties, based on Monday’s county update from the Florida Department of Health.   Of the 233,824 who have received a dose of the Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Lake and Sumter counties since the state began its vaccination program in December, 153,220 were in Lake and 80,604 were in Sumter.   All told, 168,300 of those vaccinated, including 102,889 in Lake and 65,411 in Sumter, completed the two-shot series Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, or the single dose vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson through Sunday – the latest information contained in Monday’s update. The majority – 97,041 in Lake County and 61,425 in Sumter – received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.

Of the 228,337 who have received a dose of the Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Lake and Sumter counties since the state began its vaccination program in December, 148,428 were in Lake and 79,909 were in Sumter.   All told, 157,914 of those vaccinated, including 95,488 in Lake and 62,426 in Sumter, completed the two-shot series Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, or the single dose vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson through Wednesday – the latest information contained in Thursday’s update. The majority – 89,668 in Lake County and 58,445 in Sumter – received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.   State officials announced recently the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will no longer be used until researchers investigate a possible link between it and potentially deadly blood clots.
