A â¬15 million contract has been signed for the delivery of a new school building for the Gaelcholáiste ChiarraÃ.
The new 75,000 sq ft building will cater for up to 600 students and 50 teachers, on a 6.5 acre site at Clonmore in Tralee, which was donated free of cost by the Tralee Municipal District of Kerry County Council.
A letter of intent has been issued to Vision Contracting Ltd for the construction of the new school building, which will include state of the art science labs and a purpose-built PE hall.
The construction of the building, which could begin as soon as March, is deemed essential and so will not be delayed by COVID-19 restrictions.
