AFTER confirmation that Paperchase will close permanently at the Broadway, here is a reminder of which of its essential shops and food takeaways are open during Lockdown 3. Some of the Bradford centre’s shops and services are still open and when at the city centre site until this latest national lockdown comes to an end. The centre remains open overall to essential retailers; Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 11am to 5pm. Access to the centre is via its Charles Street Entrance. The Broadway’s car park will be open Monday to Sunday from 6am until 5pm.
Government must tighten rules to end shopworker abuse, retailers urge

The Government must take urgent action to tackle violence and abuse towards shopworkers, more than 65 retail leaders have demanded.
In a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, bosses from high street names including Aldi, McDonald’s, Boots and the Post Office, said stronger laws were needed to protect against shopworker abuse.
It comes after recent data found an increase in the verbal abuse of staff at “essential” retailers, according to the British Retail Consortium (BRC).
