England is in a national lockdown. Official government advice reads as follows: You must stay at home. The single most important action we can all take is to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives. You should follow this guidance immediately.
Those who do visit essential stores are being reminded of the hands, face, space motto.
The government s advice is:
hands – wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds
face – wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet
Blackburn Market (Picture: LT) The Mall and Blackburn Market have revealed which stores and shops will be open during the new restrictions. Blackburn with Darwen as well as adjoining authorities moved into Tier 4 last week which now means all non-essential shops must close. The Mall said they had collated information from their retailers to clarify which essential services are open during the coming month. Shoppers are asked to check online at The Mall website for any updates. Presently the following food stores will be offering a takeaway service to customers: Greggs King William Street; Greggs Ainsworth Street; Costa Coffee; Hasty Tasty; Poundbakery; KFC; Krispy Kreme and Muffin Break.
