PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WSFA) - The Prattville City Council was presented plans for the location for the new charter school Ivy Classical Academy.
The school will open in August 2022 and the favorable location for the school is the High Point Town Center a center unoccupied since 2008.
Council members and residents had a chance to voice their opinions if charter school should be at the High Point Town Center at Tuesday’s council meeting.

That note can come from a physician, chiropractor or physiotherapist to allow people with disabilities, injuries or mental health concerns to exercise in some facilities. It s very contained, we have spaced out our sessions, Rose said. We have a minimum of 45 minutes between each of our sessions. Rose said in that time, they do a deep clean of the space. Barbara Robinson injured her hamstring and is now working through recovery.
Little Rock families ask the city for help against gun violence UP NEXT
Dozens of family members came out to the Little Rock City Board of Director’s meeting Tuesday night to express concern that there was nothing on the city board agenda that addressed the recent violent crimes.
Many families expressed their support of Director Doris Wright’s proposal of a youth intervention program that would hopefully prevent other families from getting that devastating call of a loved one’s death.
“The nurse that they sent out to talk to us said that he was shot straight through the heart and he was dead before he had hit the ground,” Barbara Robinson said. Robinson’s grandson was dropped off at a hospital last week after he died. That man was 28-year-old Dominic Tillman. He leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter.
Dick Duane, 91, a former long-time Key West resident, died in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. He began his extraordinary career as a MGM contract player, then a well-known singer, advertising executive, literary agent and was true renaissance man. Dick lost a valiant battle against colon cancer. He was instrumental in the creation of the novel âMidnight Cowboy,â written by James Leo Herlihy, and the subsequent packaging of the Academy Award-winning film of the same name. The novel is dedicated to him, as well.

A GP surgery has been so successful at administering Covid-19 vaccinations that Prince William picked up the phone to congratulate staff. Castlegate and Derwent Surgery in Cockermouth managed to vaccinate more than 90 per cent of over-80s and a significant number of over-70s, too. Care homes and staff were also successfully vaccinated by the surgery and it is now working its way through households of over-75s in the area.
