Two Isle Of Wight Primary Schools Invite Youngsters To Take Part In Creative Summer Projects

Two Isle of Wight schools are inviting children to take part in a series of creative summer projects throughout the school holidays and there will be no cost to children eligible for free school meals.
A three week summer project at Oakfield Primary School and two week summer project at Barton Primary School will see children aged five to 16 from around the Island turn their hand to musical theatre, carnival costume making, circus skills, magic tricks, dance and drama.

Coronavirus: Latest Isle Of Wight Students Told To Self-Isolate

It comes as more than 150 students were told to self-isolate yesterday (Monday)
Nettlestone Primary School have been told to self-isolate.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of Nettlestone Primary School has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a Year 2 bubble of 30 children and four staff now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.”

Over 150 Students In Three More Isle of Wight Schools Self Isolating

Haylands Primary School in Ryde alerted parents to a positive test within the school yesterday evening (Sunday).
Children within the Year 2 bubble are now under instructions to self-isolate for a period of 10 days - with 68 pupils and 8 staff affected.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of the Haylands Primary School, Ryde, community has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed.
