A FAMILY has been left devastated after a pet dog died after being attacked by another on Christmas Day night. Joan Ruddick, 69, who lives alone, was being walked home by daughter Lynn and her partner Ste, after having spent Christmas at their house. Joan s dog Honey was with them, along with Buddy, the family s dog. At around 9pm, they were walking on Parr Stocks Road, near to the former fire station, when another big staff-like dog started to show aggressiveness towards Honey and Buddy. The dog ran across the road and badly attacked Honey and wouldn t let her go. Honey was taken to Rutland House Veterinary Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
