The Pharr Police Department is asking for the public s help in a theft case that occurred between Sunday, July 11th and Monday, July 12th, according to a news release.
Officials said over $40,000 worth of equipment belonging to A&E Lawn and Tree Trimming was stolen from the Vanguard Academy located at 1407 West Moore Road.
The items stolen are as follows:
• Orange 17 Kubota MX 5800 tractor
• Black 22 Big Tex 16 ft trailer
• Tractor attachments

Two men were arrested in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation, the Pharr Police Department announced Friday.
Sixto Gonzalez and Derick Medina were named as persons of interest in a June 18 home invasion attempt that turned deadly when a homeowner allegedly fatally shot a suspect.
Gonzalez was arrested on June 24 at the Hidalgo bridge for a violation of federal probation, the Pharr Police Department revealed Friday. He is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

PHARR, Texas (KRGV) A teenager is dead and a driver faces an intoxication manslaughter charge after a vehicle crashed into a Pharr apartment complex early Monday morning, according to a news release from the Pharr Police Department.
Police responded to the crash on the 200 block of North Veterans Blvd at about 3:30 a.m.
Police say a black Chevy Equinox was speeding when the driver, identified as a Jesus Cruz, 22, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the apartment complex, according to the news release.
A 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old child who were inside the apartment were hit by the vehicle and taken to a local hospital. The 12-year-old child sustained non life-threatening injuries. The 16-year-old child was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the news release.
