The Pharr Police Department has identified the driver, caught on video, hitting a man using a crosswalk last Wednesday.
Police said the driver of the silver Chevy Silverado, 33-year-old Jose Salvador Mejia Campos, fled the scene, failing to render aid.
Police said there is an active felony warrant out for his arrest.
Campos may still be driving the same Chevy truck with the license plate number is 20700B8, seen in the hit and run video, police said.

The Pharr Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they said was driving a truck that bore a “striking resemblance” to the one that crashed into a pedestrian on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Pharr Police Department released footage of an unidentified man using the crosswalk on the intersection of Business 83 and Bluebonnet St. who was then struck by a grey Chevrolet truck.
The truck fled the scene, failing to render aid, according to a news release.

The Pharr Police Department has arrested a man accused of stealing an A/C unit from a home last week.
According to Pharr police, Michael Flores, 25, of Harlingen was arrested for burglary of habitation, a second-degree felony.
The second suspect in the burglary, 23-year-old Adrian Zuniga, remains at large. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Anyone with information on the location of Zuniga is urged to call the Pharr Crime Stoppers at 956-787-8477.
