Mark Walsh will ride Epatante for the first time when she bids to exact revenge on Honeysuckle in the Paddy Power Champion Hurdle at Punchestown on Friday.
Successful under Barry Geraghty in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham last year, the Nicky Henderson-trained Epatante needed a new partner after the rider s retirement so connections turned to Aidan Coleman.
However, the new duo were no match for Honeysuckle as she sauntered to victory in the Champion Hurdle last month, beating the third-placed Epatante by nine and a half lengths.
Walsh, a senior figure in the Irish jumps weighing room, is among the inner circle of Epatante s owner JP McManus and has had more rides in Ireland for him than anyone else.

ON SATURDAY 20 March, Jack Kennedy was back in action at Thurles racecourse.
It was less than 24 hours since the biggest win of his career, a landmark moment in becoming the youngest jockey in modern times to claim the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
In racing, it is one of the quirks of the trade to operate under the intense glare of the sporting spotlight and then resume riding in an off-Broadway setting the following day.

It may not be quite the message the Government has wanted to get across to the public in the last 12 months but, as a degree of normality begins to return, it is time we should all start Takingrisks.
A year after the Randox Health Grand National was cancelled by Covid, the 173
rd running will finally take place albeit in front of its smallest ever crowd which might just about amount to 1,000 people if you add up the owners, trainers, officials, racecourse staff and police.
