Festival: The three day even will be held at Rivington Terrace Gardens in July SUMMER festival organisers are appealing to local businesses to sponsor three days of music and broadcasting events next month. The Rivington Music Festival is scheduled to run from July 16 to 18 and will feature rock bands, Toploader and Republica, Bez from the Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets frontman Clint Boon and broadcaster Mark Radcliffe. The festival says that sponsorships are available to East Lancashire firm who are interested in gaining some publicity over the course of the three days. Rivington Heritage Trust heritage programmes manager Andrew Suter said: Rivington Terraced Gardens have such an important place in people’s hearts and local businesses benefit in many ways from having this special attraction on their doorstep.
