A recent event at Moose Mountain at which Métis cultural traditions were passed down. The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan is now embarking on a land use study to try to determine the extent of Métis land use in southeast Saskatchewan.
Spencer Kemp, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter Co-Chair of the Traditional Land-Use study, Dexter Mondor, says the study is to determine how deep Métis roots run in southeast Saskatchewan.
