Bharat Bandh by farmers body to be on March 26 for entire day | India News

Representative image BATHINDA: Despite some reservations by some trade union and transporters to defer the call of Bharat Bandh on March 26 in light of the Holi festival, the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha has decided to go ahead with the call of Bharat Bandh on that day. The morcha leaders made it clear that the bandh will be for the entire day from 6AM to 6PM. The morcha asked all the organisations to make earnest efforts to make the bandh call a success. The decision was finalised in a meeting of kisan morcha leaders held with representatives of trade unions from organised and unorganized sectors, traders, arhtiya associations, workers unions including agricultural workers, transporter associations, teachers, youth and students associations at Singhu border on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference, Ranjit Raju of Ganganagar Kisan Samiti said that during the nationwide strike on March 26, which also marks four months of the farmers movement, all shops and other business establishments will remain shut for 12 hours.
