BARRATT Homes Yorkshire West and the RSPB have teamed up to launch Nature on Your Doorstep, a project designed to inspire and advise everyone on how to turn their outdoor spaces into havens for wildlife – whether it be a garden, balcony, yard, or community green space. Visitors to Nature on Your Doorstep will be able to access: how-to gardening guides, easy step-by-step videos, seasonal gardening advice, and an online community dedicated to bringing people together to ask questions, seek advice, and share their successes (and learning experiences). Over the next three years the project will continue to grow into a go-to place for gardening for wildlife.
Barratt Homes Yorkshire West made the donation to Currergate, at Steeton, to mark World Book Day. The company said it hoped the books would help boost residents’ wellbeing during lockdown. Managing director, Ian Ruthven, added: “We are always looking for new ways to engage with the communities in which we build, so we were thrilled to be able to partner with Currergate Nursing Home to provide this donation. “Supporting our communities is at the heart of everything we do and we will continue to offer that support in the future.” Catherine Davies, registered manager at Currergate, thanked the company for its backing.
