As the Goa state battles the 2nd wave of Covid-19 pandemic with sudden surge in COVID cases, Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore has committed to add 100-bed infrastructure capacity at Goa, to support the state Govt.in combating COVID pandemic. 100- Bed infrastructure will be rolled out as extension to Goa Medical College at Bambolim, Goa in order to enhance the healthcare facility at Goa state to tackle crisis situation posed due to COVID.

New Delhi [India], May 11 (ANI): Savio Medeira believes in giving. He has put in 17 years of uninterrupted trophy-laden service in the heart of the midfield for Goan giants Salgaocar FC; has coached the India men s senior national team to a major trophy triumph the 2011 SAFF Cup; and now, he is the Head of Coach Education at the All-India Football Federation (AIFF). Not to forget that he also represented the Blue Tigers at the international level in the late 90s.
The master educator, who has been busy lifting the standards of coach education in the country has now risen to the occasion to do his bit even as (in his own words), the situation is scary in Goa.

(CNN) In the southwestern Indian state of Goa, one in every two people tested is positive for Covid-19.
That makes it the state with the highest positivity rate nationwide, as the virus rips through the country. And that s just among the people getting tested meaning the rate of infection among the untested population may be higher.
On Friday, the state hit a new record high positivity rate of 51.4%, said Goa Health Minister Vishwajit P. Rane suggesting a total lockdown may be needed to contain the spread of the virus. About 690,360 tests had been done in the state as of Friday, according to the state s Press Information Bureau.
