Last Christmas, Nessa gave Smithy her heart - and we never got to see what happened next. After 10 years off the air, Gavin & Stacey fans were treated to a Christmas special in 2019 to find the eponymous couple a decade on with three children, and Bryn feeling stressed over having the responsibility of cooking Christmas dinner for more than 13 people.
The special ended with Nessa getting down on one knee, with the credits rolling before we got an answer, and viewers were again left hanging this year with no sign of a follow-up episode.
