Seniors and low- to moderate-income community members in San Luis Obispo County can receive free tax assistance services from the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide of San Luis Obispo County in February.
Starting Monday, Feb. 1, community members even those who are not AARP members can book an appointment with AARP to get their taxes prepared, according to a spokesperson for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide.
AARP Tax-Aide will not hold in-person tax preparation sessions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, taxpayers will bring their tax documents to a Tax-Aide location, where they will be dropped off or scanned, according to the spokesperson.
