The Psychopath Test
Recently we heard about this test that could determine if someone was a psychopath. So, naturally, our staff decided to take it. This week we hear the results.
NPR Science Correspondent Alix Spiegel tells the story of Robert Dixon, who s in a maximum security prison in Vacaville California and is unlikely to ever get parole because of his score on the psychopath test. The test also is called the checklist or, more formally, the PCL-R, which stands for Psychopathy Check List Revised. Alix tells the story of its creation and reports that the man who created the test, Bob Hare, is concerned at how it s being used today in the criminal justice system. Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh
The year 2021 will mark the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley’s death on May 11, 1981, a date which gains even more significance this year because it marks the first time that all of the original Wailers are dead, given that Bunny Wailer passed away earlier this year.
What does this mean for the Wailers brand and its role in the history of reggae music?
“This is the first year that we are memorializing Bob’s transition anniversary from 1981 in the context of all three Wailers leaving, Peter having left in 1987 and Bunny surviving them both for 40 years and 33 years respectively transitioning here in 2021,” entertainment consultant Maxine Stowe, former manager of Bunny Wailer, told
Three trees have been cut down to build parking

A Highgate conservation group has challenged the cutting down of three trees in Tile Kiln Lane reservoir to make way for parking.
Thames Water removed three sycamore trees and some brambles to build parking for two vans for workers using the site. Part of a boundary wall has also been taken down for vehicle access. Residents say the move will harm the area s natural wildlife.
The works were authorised under permitted development, and so did not require planning permission. A planning notice was lodged by Thames Water two years ago for the removal of one tree.
