PARKERSBURG The Towne Square building will be put up for sale and the Wood County Commission was one of the first groups offered the chance to buy it.
Wood County Commissioners Blair Couch and Bob Tebay took a phone call from owner Bob Margolis to discuss the matter. Commissioner Jimmy Colombo was absent from Thursday’s meeting.
Margolis said they were on the verge of possibly putting the building up for sale.
“We wanted to talk to you guys first,” he said. “We have had discussions over the years about the building.”
County officials said the last time they discussed anything about the building was six to eight years ago.
