The Saturday grand-opening event sold out all tickets for each of its three time slots weeks ago, but Mixed Breed beers will still be available in cans for takeout customers. Regular hours, starting Sunday, are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; hours may expand to include Wednesdays if warranted by demand.

Barbecue, music fundraisers set to fight leukemia

Table Hopping By Steve Barnes, senior writer on April 13, 2021 at 11:07 AM Four local barbecue restaurants will be offering meals for pickup at five area locations from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 3, as part of a fundraiser called The Capital Region Smokes Out Leukemia. It is part of the campaign for the annual Fat Crow Gourmet, which makes a line of mustards, sauces and jams. Participating purveyors are Iron Works Grill, Miller’s Backyard BBQ, Rollin’ Smoke Handcrafted BBQ and Wagon Train BBQ, with pickup locations in Clifton Park, Guilderland (website says Albany), Mechanicville, Rotterdam and Troy. All will offer quarter-chicken dinners with sides for $12 or a full rack of ribs for $50 (limited availability). Details and ordering are

Albany Empire Head Coach Keefe Resigns Rob Keefe has resigned as the head coach and president of Football Operations for the Albany Empire. He made the announcement on his Twitter page this morning. You can find that statement below: This is horrible news for the new arena football team and this is confirming the doubts I had about this team. This is not going to be the same Albany Empire we saw two seasons ago. I was skeptical at first until coach Keefe was brought in but now I have my doubts yet again. This team has no marketing plan and seemingly no budget to deal with.
