Bob Svec3 days agoLast Updated: April 8, 2021 Charles City, IA – Tax payers in Floyd County may be paying more for property taxes in the near future and this is not sitting well with some local citizens as Bob Svec reports: Gordy Boge, a rural resident of Charles City and president of The Coalition for Better County Government says over spending on the courthouse remodel and sheriff’s office construction costs went up 40% from the general obligation bond amount of 13.5 million dollars to 18.6 million dollars. Boge says taxpayers want transparency from the board of supervisors and want to know where the additional money is going.
