Will join UDF and demand three seats, including Pala
Incumbent Pala legislator Mani C. Kappan announced a new political party, the Nationalist Congress Kerala (NCK), here on Monday.
Mr. Kappan had exited from the LDF in a fit of pique recently over the move to cede his sitting seat to Jose K. Mani of the Kerala Congress (M).

Kottayam, Kerala: A day after breaking its ties with the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), a faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Kerala on Sunday formally joined the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) ahead of assembly elections in the state.
The NCP leader and Pala MLA Mani C Kappan formally joined the UDF in Kottayam today after attending the Aiswarya Kerala Yatra along with a large number of his followers. The yatra was led by senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala when it reached his constituency.
