I Am Home Africa Day special to showcase the best the continent has to offer By Mpiletso Motumi Share Johannesburg - Poet and singer-songwriter Sampa is one of the musicians who will be part of the Bassline I Am Home Africa Day special. She will be joined by Shasha from Zimbabwe, Tems from Nigeria, Baaba Maal from Senegal; Sun-El Musician, Msaki, Urban Village, Ami Faku and Umlilo from South Africa as well as Leila from Morocco to showcase African music. Zambia-based Sampa expresses herself through music, poetry and visual art. She said it was her family that made her feel most at home. “It has been a journey carrying them with me in spirit when I’m not home, because they re the essence of what makes me feel at home.”
