Pennsylvania-based Aquatech International has engaged Pani’s cloud-based artificial intelligence technology for use at a number of desalination plants. “This means a lot of good things for Pani,” said chief executive Devesh Bharadwaj. “It’s a good demonstration that the leaders in desalination really value our technology, and see that it’s the next technological innovation in the water-desalination space. It gives us access to a large market and will help grow the company.” Pani Energy has created technology that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance water-treatment systems in industrial sites like pulp and paper mills, auto plants and municipal facilities.

Solving Water Scarcity With Artificial Intelligence: Aquatech International And Pani Energy Partner To Reduce The Energy Consumption Of Sea Water Desalination
Aim is to lower industry standard of energy requirement for desalination
Desalination has traditionally been viewed as a reliable though expensive means to produce fresh water in water scarce regions. Aquatech International, a global desalination leader, has partnered with Pani Energy, an artificial intelligence (AI) analytics solution provider for water applications, to reduce the energy and cost associated with desalination, thereby encouraging further adoption of desalination solutions and addressing water security issues.
The partnership aims to augment Aquatech’s proprietary LoWatt membrane desalination process with Pani’s artificial intelligence platform to reduce the energy required for desalination to levels that have not been achievable using existing approaches.
