Man arrested after firing gun 9 times at vehicle in road rage incident on I-15, police say

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.
POCATELLO Idaho State Police Troopers were dispatched to a reported road rage incident Tuesday morning that resulted in shots being fired on northbound Interstate 15 near Pocatello. A Utah man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.
The incident began at 8:09 a.m. when Idaho State Police Troopers were dispatched to the area of I-15 near milepost 67 in Pocatello for a report of shots being fired from a white pickup. According to a witness, the driver of white GMC Sierra pickup traveling on Interstate 15 northbound came up quickly behind a Toyota Matrix sedan being driven by a Pocatello man.

CHUBBUCK Officer Tyler Hoffa takes great joy in serving on the Chubbuck Police Department’s weekend night shift and not just because he is especially susceptible to the harshness of the sun.
“Batman worked nights it kind of has that vibe to it,” he told EastIdahoNews.com. “Plus, I get sunburned easily, so I try to stay in the dark as much as I can.”

CHUBBUCK A Chubbuck man faces nearly 15 years in prison following a drug arrest early Monday morning.
Jared William Jones, 42, was taken into custody at the Extended Stay Pocatello. He was allegedly found to be in possession of numerous smoking devices, which returned a presumptive positive when tested for methamphetamine, and syringe filled with an unidentified liquid, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
In addition to drug charges, the Bannock County Prosecutors Office is pursuing a persistent violator enhancement.
Officers from the Chubbuck Police Department were dispatched to the Extended Stay around 4:40 a.m. on Monday responding to a 911 call, according to court documents.
